What education facilities need

Equipment that suits beginners. Many students are learning to train for the first time. Selectorised machines guide the movement path and let students change weight with a pin, which is easier to supervise than a room full of loaded barbells. Free weights still have a place for senior students, sports academies and university programs, with the right racks, platforms and supervision.

Adjustability for different body sizes. A Year 9 student and a university rower might use the same machine in the same week. Look for adjustable seats, pads and handles, and clear instruction placards.

Durability and easy cleaning. Education gyms see high traffic in short bursts around timetabled classes. Commercial-grade frames and upholstery hold up better, and a routine of wiping down with antibacterial gym wipes helps keep the space hygienic.

Class-friendly layouts. PE and sport science teachers often run whole classes through circuits. A layout with stations that can be rotated quickly, plus open floor space for bodyweight and functional training, makes classes easier to run.

Safe storage. Dumbbell racks, weight plate storage, ball storage and mat storage keep the floor clear and reduce trip hazards.

• Body-Solid Pro Dual dual-function stations, which fit two exercises into one footprint. They're useful where space is limited.
• Multi-station and functional trainers let several students train at once around one unit.

• Squat racks and cages and modular rigs for senior and sports academy programs.
• Olympic barbells, weight plates and dumbbells.
• Weightlifting platforms and rubber gym tiles to protect floors and reduce noise.

Cardio

• Circle Fitness Core Series light commercial treadmills, bikes and ellipticals, or the Platinum Series for busier university gyms.
• Concept2 RowErg, SkiErg and BikeErg. They're widely used for fitness testing and team conditioning.
• Venom air bikes for interval training.

Testing and accessories

Sport science and PE departments may also need testing and measuring equipment, timers, agility training gear and resistance bands.

Working with schools and universities

Quotes for budgets and approvals. We can provide itemised quotes to support budget submissions, grant applications and internal approvals.

Tenders and procurement. If your project is going to tender or quotation, see government tenders and supply or email your documents to our sales team.

Installation timed around the school calendar. Fit-outs are often easiest during school holidays or semester breaks. Talk to us early so we can plan delivery and installation around your dates, and allow for lead times on items that aren't in stock.

Ongoing maintenance. A preventive maintenance contract means equipment is inspected and serviced on a schedule, and problems are picked up before they affect students. Our service team provides a detailed report for the work performed.

Lead times and deposits

Some commercial equipment is held in stock in Perth. If a Jerai, Body-Solid Pro Dual or Steelflex item is out of stock, you can still order it: allow 45–90 days to site. A 50% deposit is required upfront on Jerai orders. We'll confirm current stock and timing with your quote, so you can plan your opening or refurbishment date.

Frequently asked questions

Can you help us choose between machines and free weights? Yes. Tell us who will use the room and how it will be supervised, and we'll suggest a mix. Many schools start with selectorised machines and add racks and free weights for senior programs.

Do you supply flooring? Yes. We supply rubber gym tiles and weightlifting platforms.

Can you service our existing equipment? Yes. We repair and service most makes and models (excluding NordicTrack) through our service team.
