A camp gym is one of the most-used facilities on a mine site. After a 12-hour shift, workers want equipment that works every time. When something breaks, the nearest technician can be hundreds of kilometres away. Nordic Fitness is based in Perth and specialises in remote mine site servicing. We supply, install and maintain gym equipment for mine sites, FIFO and DIDO accommodation villages, and remote resources facilities. We're the exclusive Australian distributor of Jerai Fitness strength equipment and Circle Fitness cardio.

The challenges of a remote site gym

Round-the-clock use. With rotating day and night shifts, a camp gym can be in use at almost any hour. Equipment has to be commercial-rated for continuous use, not built for a few hours a week.

Distance and downtime. Every service visit to a remote site costs time and money. Getting a machine running again can mean waiting for the next scheduled trip, flights and site access. Reliable equipment, a stock of common spare parts and planned preventive maintenance all reduce the number of call-outs.

Freight and access. Equipment may travel by road train, be unloaded with limited handling gear, and need to fit through accommodation-block doors. Planning crate sizes, weights and delivery access in advance avoids problems on the day.

Harsh conditions. Dust, heat and humidity are hard on electronics and moving parts. Regular cleaning, belt and deck care on treadmills, and timely lubrication help equipment last.

Site requirements. Sites have their own induction, safety and access rules. Contractors need to work within them.

Strength

• Jerai Load On plate-loaded machines and Jerai Crown Series for heavy strength training.
• Jerai Club Line and Falcon Series selectorised machines, which are quick and simple for shift workers to use.
• Squat racks and cages, modular rigs, Olympic barbells, weight plates and dumbbells.
• Weight plate and dumbbell storage to keep heavy items off the floor.

Cardio

• Circle Platinum Series commercial treadmills, bikes and ellipticals, such as the Circle M8 V2 treadmill.
• Concept2 RowErg, SkiErg and BikeErg. They're mechanically simple and well suited to remote sites.
• Venom air bikes need no power and are ideal for conditioning.

Flooring, hygiene and spares

• Rubber gym tiles and weightlifting platforms protect slab floors and reduce noise in accommodation areas.
• Antibacterial gym wipes, specifically formulated for gyms, with dispensers, for shared equipment.
• Spare parts, replacement cables and silicone lubricant for routine upkeep.

Our services for mine sites and camps

Supply and freight. We quote equipment and freight together, so you know the delivered cost to site.

Installation. Our team can assemble and position equipment on site. See delivery and installation.

Scheduled maintenance. Remote site servicing is a specialty of our service team. A maintenance contract sets regular visits to inspect, clean, adjust and service each machine, and every visit includes a detailed report for the work performed.

Repairs. We repair most makes and models of treadmills and gym equipment (excluding NordicTrack), and carry a large range of spare parts with access to major suppliers for specialised parts. See repairs and servicing.

Upgrades and refurbishments. If your camp gym needs refreshing, we can audit what's there, recommend what to keep, service or replace, and plan the changeover.

Lead times and deposits

Some commercial equipment is held in stock in Perth. If a Jerai, Body-Solid Pro Dual or Steelflex item is out of stock, you can still order it: allow 45–90 days to site. A 50% deposit is required upfront on Jerai orders. We'll confirm current stock and timing with your quote, so you can plan your opening or refurbishment date.

Can you service equipment from other suppliers? Yes. We repair most makes and models (not NordicTrack).
