Gym Equipment for Hotels, Apartments & Strata Buildings
For hotel guests and apartment residents, a building gym is an amenity they expect to work, look good and be easy to use without staff on hand. For managers and strata committees, the priority is equipment that's reliable, safe, easy to maintain and good value over many years. Nordic Fitness supplies, installs and services gym equipment for hotels, serviced apartments, residential towers and strata buildings from our Perth base, Australia-wide. We're the exclusive Australian distributor of Circle Fitness cardio and Jerai Fitness strength equipment.
What building gyms need
Unsupervised, easy-to-use equipment. Most hotel and residential gyms have no attendant. Equipment should be intuitive and self-explanatory, with safety features such as emergency stop clips on treadmills.
Commercial rating. Even a small building gym is shared by many people. Home-grade equipment isn't designed for that and may wear out quickly. Light commercial and commercial ranges are built for shared use.
A compact footprint. Building gyms are often in converted rooms or on podium levels. Multi-use strength stations and careful layout planning get the most out of the space.
Low noise and vibration. Gyms near apartments or hotel rooms need good rubber flooring and equipment that limits heavy drops. Fixed-weight dumbbells and selectorised machines are generally quieter than barbells and plates.
A clean, presentable room. Guests and residents judge the facility by how it looks. Easy-clean upholstery, tidy storage and a supply of antibacterial gym wipes, specifically formulated for gyms, help keep it that way.
Clear responsibility for maintenance. In strata buildings, it should be clear who reports faults and who arranges servicing. A maintenance contract gives the building manager or committee a simple, scheduled arrangement.

Our services for hotels and buildings
- Advice and layout: we'll recommend an equipment mix to suit your room, the number of residents or rooms, and your budget. See gym design and fit-outs.

- Maintenance contracts: regular inspections and servicing with a detailed report you can share with owners or management.
- Repairs: for most makes and models, including equipment already in the building.
- Finance: business finance options.
For strata committees
If you're presenting options to an owners' meeting, ask us for an itemised quote with options at different price points. Include ongoing servicing costs so owners can see the full picture. Questions committees often consider:
- Should the building replace its existing equipment, or service and keep some of it?
- How many residents are likely to use the gym, and at what times?
- What are the noise limits for neighbouring apartments?
- Who will report faults, and how quickly do they need to be fixed?
- What maintenance schedule fits the budget?
For hotels
Hotel gyms are often open around the clock with no staff present, so clear signage, simple consoles and a visible emergency contact number are worth including in the plan. Hotel gyms benefit from a consistent, well-presented look and equipment guests recognise. Cardio is usually the most-used equipment, so allow for enough treadmills and bikes, and keep a simple strength area for guests who want to lift.
Lead times and deposits
Some commercial equipment is held in stock in Perth. If a Jerai, Body-Solid Pro Dual or Steelflex item is out of stock, you can still order it: allow 45–90 days to site. A 50% deposit is required upfront on Jerai orders. We'll confirm current stock and timing with your quote, so you can plan your opening or refurbishment date.
Frequently asked questions
Can you take over servicing of our current gym? Yes. We service most makes and models (not NordicTrack). We can start with an inspection and report on the condition of your existing equipment.
Is home equipment okay for a small building gym? Shared gyms put far more use through equipment than a home does. Light commercial ranges are a better long-term choice.
