Dream of a private gym in your own personal space? Building a home gym is entirely possible, with a little know-how and forethought.

To get started, think about the exercises you enjoy doing. If you like cardio, consider a cross trainer, bike, treadmill or rower. Weights are great for bodyweight workouts, and don’t take up much space. As you progress, add extra equipment, such as a bench press or power tower. At Nordic Fitness, all our gym equipment is either for sale or hire. You’ll be on your way to building your very own BodyCraft gym in no time.

Managing Budget

Creating a home gym doesn’t have to be expensive. Just start with the basics and work your way up. When compared to paying expensive gym memberships, not to mention travel time to and from the gym, petrol, parking, and even designer active wear, investing in a home gym might actually find you saving money in the long-run. A gym is often full of equipment that you rarely (or never) use, so focus on hiring or purchasing equipment that you know and enjoy.

Managing Space

When setting up a gym at home, find a space you can dedicate to your workouts. This could be a spare bedroom, the back verandah, or even an unused area in your garage.

Save Time

At home, there’s no travel time or waiting for gym equipment to become available. You can workout whenever you like, wearing whatever you like.
